Facilities has established stable, temporary power to the West Campus. Permanent repairs will be made to the main power distribution system over the next 3-4 days.

While these repairs are being made, it is likely that Facilities will need to close part of Barshop Boulevard and schedule a temporary power outage. Separate notifications will be sent out to announce this work. A final notification will be made when all of the permanent repairs are made.

The Facilities Service Center has relocated back to its normal location and can be reached at x4262.  For additional information, contact the Facilities Service Center at x4262.

Power is out on West Campus due to a failed generator. Facilities is addressing the matter now.

The Facilities Service Center has relocated to the Utility Operations Building and will remain there until power is restored. It can receive emails and service requests through the iService desk, however its normal extension (x4262) is not operational.

If you have an urgent issue that requires Facilities’ attention, please call x5277. We will provide an update as soon as repairs are made.

Crews continued work overnight to restore power to those areas of the Main Campus where service was disrupted yesterday, particularly on the west side of campus.

Two diesel generators have been brought in to provide power to buildings where regular service has not yet been completely restored, and all university functions are operating normally.

Employees should report to work today according to their regular schedule. Completion of all restoration activities is expected by this weekend.
