Guiding Principles for Campus Issues & Reporting
We believe that our campus community has a right to be well informed regarding campus issues when they occur. This site provides a place for UTSA to provide updates regarding issues that affect our campus environment, especially those that may cause members of our community to feel threatened, disrupted or upset.
UTSA is fully committed to the principles of transparency and free speech, while adhering to local, state, federal laws, as well as university and UT System policies. For information on freedom of expression and applicable guidelines, please CLICK HERE.
However, the university has limitations regarding the information that it may share publicly. We are unable to share specifics that could jeopardize any of the following:
- Privacy rights for minors, victims, complainants and respondents
- Confidentiality based on FERPA and HIPAA
- An ongoing investigation
- Any exceptions to the Texas Public Information Act
