    Winter Break – Campus Operating Hours

    Attention:  UTSA Community

    Over the winter break, all classes and many university business operations will follow a reduced operating schedule beginning Monday, December 23, 2019 through Sunday, January 5, 2020.  Most university buildings will be locked during the semester intercession unless otherwise noted on this 2019 Winter Building Schedule.  UTSA will resume normal business hours on Monday, January 6, 2020, with a few exceptions.  For more information on university business operations during the winter break, please see the hours of operations below or the posted FAQ’s.

    Alternate hours of operations for the following departments and activities at UTSA will apply during winter break:

    Housing & Residence Life

    • To assist residents during the break, on-call personnel are available for urgent needs per the contact information posted at the front desk for each community. Contact UTSA Police 210-458-4911 for emergencies. HRL will respond to all other inquiries upon our return January 6, 2020.


    • JPL – Closed December 21 – 27 & January 1,
    • Downtown – Closed December 21 – January 3
    • AET – Closed December 14 – January 20

    Recreation Center & Field Complex

    • Recreation Centers & Field Complex (Main & Downtown Campuses): Closed December 21 – January 5

    Student Union

    Campus Services (Dining, Shuttles, UTSACard)

    • No UTSACard Service – December 21 – January 5
    • No ‘Runner Shuttle Service – December 13 – January 20; visit the Transportation website for full details
    • Visit UTSA Campus Dish for dining hours of operation during winter break

    Institute of Texan Cultures Museum

    • Closed: Private Event on December 17
    • Closed: December 24 & 25
    • Closed: January 1

    One-Stop Enrollment Center

    • Closed December 23 – January 5

    Student Health Services

    • Clinic Closed: December 24 – January 1

    Counseling & Mental Health Services

    • Crisis Helpline (On-Call Counselor for After Hours, Weekend, Holiday):  (210) 458-4140, *Select Option 3

    Research Laboratories – Normal protocols apply unless otherwise communicated to staff/faculty.

    For emergency services, please call the UTSA Police Department at (210) 458-4911, or (210) 458-4242 for non-emergencies.

    UTSA Campuses Open on a Regular Schedule

    UTSA Community,

    All classes, programs and activities at the UTSA Main Campus, Downtown Campus and Institute of Texan Cultures are open and operating on a regular schedule.
