UTSA Crime Alert: Robbery, Main Campus

(9:31 p.m., Monday, Nov. 18, 2013) — On Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at approximately 10:16 p.m., a female student reported she was waiting for her ride at the UTSA VIA bus stop on the Main Campus when she was approached by four persons in a vehicle. One suspect approached her and grabbed her purse, knocking her to the ground. The suspect fled in the vehicle.

The suspect is described as an African-American male, muscular build, approximately 6 feet tall, and about 22 years old. He had several tattoos on his chest, shoulders and arms. The suspect also had two thin beard lines from his sideburns to his chin and was wearing a black tank top with blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.

A second African-American male in the vehicle was wearing a black-colored sweatshirt and earrings. An African-American female also was in the vehicle and was wearing a black scarf covering her hair. The driver of the vehicle was believed to be an African-American male.The suspect’s vehicle was described as a dark, gray/silver hatchback, four-door sedan.
