UTSA campuses open on Monday, August 28

After evaluating weather forecasts, assessing highway and road conditions and reviewing the planned opening of school districts in the Bexar County area, UTSA will re-open all three campuses on Monday, August 28 at 6 a.m.

For students who may be traveling from outlying areas where weather has been more significant than in San Antonio, contact your professors and instructors directly if you have questions about class attendance and assignments. Employees and faculty should notify thier supervisors or department chairs to discuss any absence issues they may have.

All members of the university community are urged to use their best independent judgment when deciding whether to travel to and from campus.

Additionally, students from those areas most severely impacted by Harvey, including southeast Texas and the Houston metro area, are encouraged to contact UTSA Counseling Services, Student Health Services and/or the UTSA Ombudsperson if they are in need of assistance.
