    Test of Giant Voice mass notification system at Bauerle Garage – June 6 at 4:00 pm

    (June 5, 2013) — The UTSA Office of Emergency Management will conduct a scheduled test of the Giant Voice mass notification system between 3:30 pm and 5 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the Bauerle Rd Garage on the UTSA Main Campus.  This is only a test – do not be alarmed.

    The test message will be: “Attention, attention, this is a test of the UTSA Giant Voice emergency notification system. This is only a test.”  Tests will last approximately 35 seconds, and no evacuations will be necessary.  The message may run a few times both in indoor workspaces (Welcome Center, Univ Communications, Alumni Center, BAS Services) and through the exterior siren system.

    UTSA campuses are open

    (Updated:  8:50 a.m., Monday, May 20,2013) — The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is open. All offices, programs and classes at the Main Campus, Downtown Campus and Institute of Texan Cultures are operating on a normal schedule.

    The UTSA Office of Emergency Management continuously monitors area weather conditions with the safety of UTSA community members in mind.  This website and the 210-458-SNOW information line are the official resources for emergency information and announcements regarding campus operations.
